Many life changing inventions were greatly influenced by the ingenious, innovative thinking of Alessandro Volta. In 1800, Alessandro used strips of metal to connect a series of bowls which contained brine. This connection resulted in an invisible force which in turn was to be the catalyst for several of the greatest inventions of mankind.

Telegraphy, Radio, Electronics, Electric Light and even Computers would not have been possible without this invention. This first steady supply of a dynamic electric current made Volt the inventor of the Battery and a legacy of gigantic proportions. In 1801 Napoleon summoned Volt to demonstrate his inventions and made Alessandro a “Count and a Legion of Honor”. The lesson for us today is that Volt’s interest in electricity was sparked by a history of the subject by an English chemist named Joseph Priestly. LISTEN TO YOUR TEACHER!
